I've always said whoever came up with the 5-day work week was a donkey.
Weekend was good. Saturday, I ran errands, got a haircut, and H and I went out for a delayed valentine's dinner. Sunday, we didn't do too much thanks to the snow, but we made it out to grocery store and continued our re-watch of Mad Men. Yesterday, we ran over to Burlington for lunch and so I could return some shoes at DSW (and then promptly bought a pair that cost more, sigh). Then we braved Market Basket, and I realized that I am really not cut out for that store, no matter cheap it is.
And now, back to the grind. However, I am the only person in the front office today, so it's quiet. I love it. The only problem will be the students looking for directions, but I don't even care, because Annoying Receptionist is out for a week, wheeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
Yes!! I'm actually only working 3 days this week as I leave Thursday night for a conference in Baltimore.
My weekend was great, had so much fun at our GTG on Saturday, loved getting to meet Lilac and Preppy! Then Sunday went to Zumba and Target then hung out around the house. Monday went out for coffee then got a much needed mani/pedi and ran a few errands.
I 200% agree that long weekends are phenomenal!! Friday night I went out for happy hour in Brookline then met up with my H and some friends in Somerville for drinks. Saturday I went to the g2g at vt's house and had a great time getting to meet some of you ladies! Sat night we stayed in and watched the newest batman movie which was fantastic but very long! Sunday we went furniture shopping and finally got a new TV stand, and we also went to brunch and hit the Burlington mall and I tragically learned that my face moisturizer has been discontinued. Monday my H was working so I slept in, went to a Pilates class, and hit target. It was great to have nothing planned at all.
I have a very short work week since I took off thurs and fri since my birthday is Thursday! I am excited that I am only working 2 days, though I am going to be crazy busy for these 2 days.
I have hypoglycemia. I need to eat every 2 hours and am supposed to have things high in protein and low in carbs and sugars. This explains why I feel especially bad in the morning. I also have some candy looking glucose tablets to take if I ever feel really awful or am out and cannot immediately get food.

That sucks! But I'm so glad they determined the cause. Those tablets are awful. Oj is a very quick sugar solution if it drops low.

Rock-n-voll: we got the TV stand at Boston interiors. Someone on here recommended it and I really liked their stuff. We found a bedroom set I love that we might get after we get out tax returns back too. So thanks to whoever recommended it!!

That was me Glad you found something you like. I know what a PITA it can be to find the right furniture.
Well thank you! They had great stuff, much higher quality than we found elseware, and pretty reasonable prices. I will def be going back!

I agree. I greatly appreciated the extra time off of school and work.
This week is starting off well, too. My cold (or whatever it was) is nearly gone, I scored 100% on my test this morning, and I received my grade (an A) on an exam from last week.

Be sure to check out the outlet section in one corner of the Stoughton location if you haven't already. It's not as good as Jordan's Clearance Center in Avon, but you can hit both in one day and maybe score a good deal or two. You can also hit the IKEA marketplace for some fun stuff, the Costco, and the Home Depot all in the same area.

I am also really sad that I missed the GTG, and I hope to make it to the next one. I actually had a FOUR day weekend (also had Friday off) but this week I am being punished for that since I worked 14 hours yesterday and have already been at work for over 12 hours today (and am still here).
On Monday I went to visit a colleague and her baby (she is out on ML). On Sunday I had an old college friend and her husband come over for dinner. On Saturday I hung around at home with H. I can't even remember what I did on Friday - oh yes, I was mostly hung over b/c we went to our favorite bar on Thurs night and got totally hammered.
