I have an IKEA Expedit in the light birch.
I'm toying with using it on its side on one wall in my office/craft room, but the birch color doesn't work.
Anyone painted one? Is it worth the work to prime and paint it?
FWIW I don't live near an Ikea, but my parents do, so there is the option of selling this one on CL and then buying a white one.

A can or two of white spray paint would be sufficient, IMO.

Never done it, but according to my learnings from
www.ikeahackers.net/
just sand the shine off the laminate first... also don't sand too rough or deep, those things have a cardboard core in all the border pieces.
