The big white one in my avatar picture. We knew she wasn't going to be with us much longer, but it was still kind of a shock. We were expecting to have to put her down sometime in the next few months. She's been having trouble getting around and has been loosing weight, but hasn't been in any pain and has been eating/drinking fine.

Last night she collapsed after the girls went to bed, and couldn't get up. My mom took her to the vet, and we let her go. I'm sad, but I am grateful to have had her in our lives for so long. She was 12, which is ancient for giant breeds. I am glad the girls were already asleep and didn't see it happen.

I am especially bummed that I didn't get to do MW's photo request. It's been raining all week, so I haven't been able to take them for a walk. It would have been a cute photo comparison.
