Found a couple of fleas on my Golden.

WTF. We use preventative every month.....but I know they said fleas and ticks would be bad this year because of the mild winter we had. Anyway, we are going to take him to the vet tomorrow for something else, so I'm sure we'll get Cooper a Rx for the fleas too. What do I do about the freaking house?? I can't believe this...and in my ILs house of all places (we are here until our house is built). My hubby is acting like this is no big deal and I'm freaking the fuck out. lol. What do I do, just vacuum like crazy? Wash everything? Has anyone dealt with this? I'd really like to NOT do anything chemical, but will of course if we have too. Like I said, we just found a couple, but I know there will be more. Fucking bugs.

My dog only had fleas once- a few days after I applied flea preventative he got them. I used a DIY bug bomb and it worked great (I actually used 3 to be safe). I've never used flea preventative since and never had a problem (that was about 8-9 years ago). Maybe a coincidence but who knows.
