I just started the Light Between Oceans. So far, I like it. I've been in a reading slump and couldn't decide what I was looking for. I had this one on my Kindle for awhile so I thought I might as well read it now. Unfortunately, I have nothing interesting going on this weekend. I'll probably just work on the hat I'm knitting and shop for a baby shower gift that I've been putting off for so long.
I'm reading The Secret Gospel of Ireland. It's interesting enough if you're into theological history. I have a hard time getting much reading done these days; I've been dragging into work late in the mornings and it eats into my lunch break.
I just started listening to The Wettest County in the World. It's too early to really make a call on it. The opening scene is a pretty grisly account of slaughtering a pig, and since I started this on the heels of a Nora Roberts romance, it was a bit of a shock to my system for a few minutes.
DH is working tomorrow, so I'll have the place to myself. I'll get a run in and I think I'm going to head out and get supplies to make a compost bin. Hopefully I'll also get to read!
Sunday is my grandma's birthday, so we're going up there for dinner with the family. Should be fun.

I am quite a bit into Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. It is certainly interesting, but I'm not sure it is my favorite. I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow and start Babbitt by Sinclair Lewis.
Tonight I am going to do Karaoke with some friends for the first time. I can't imagine myself actually signing, but we'll see how it goes! Tomorrow FI and I will either go to dinner or try to make something at home.
I'm reading The Mapping of Love and Death, which is 6 or 7 in the Maisie Dobbs series. It's good, and much better than the last few in the series I had read. Not much exciting this weekend -- out with friends tonight, making baked french toast for tomorrow's breakfast (I think I'm most excited about that), yoga class on Sunday.
rootbeerfloat: I've never heard of anyone caterpillar-sitting! Sounds likely to be boring but with potential to be pretty cool if it does build its cocoon.
I am still reading The Red Queen by Philipa Gregory (it's typical of her work; a quick read but kind blending in with all the others) and waiting for the results of the vote in the other thread the decide what I'm going to read next.
My week has been all wonky. Holiday for DH and DD Monday, snow day (ice day, I guess) for DD today, so the days are blurring. It doesn't feel like Friday.

I'm reading The Kill Order by James Dashner. It's the prequel to The Maze Runner series. Even though these books are YA, I absolutely love them. They've all managed to keep me on the edge of my seat and I just can't put them down! This book is especially interesting because it explains so much of what happened in the previous 3 books.
No real plans for this weekend. We'll probably just stay in tonight and then I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow. Boring.
I have been SO bad about reading. I'm still reading the same 2 books I was reading at the beginning of Feb. I moved on Feb 2, and I've just been out of my reading element since then.

I'm about halfway through Holly Blues, a next-in-series China Bayles mystery which I am enjoying. I am trying to catch up/finish a few of my series reads this year.
I'm not sure how much reading I'll get done this weekend, but it will be a book-ish weekend. I am building my new bookshelves and finally(!) unpacking the 8 boxes of books that have been serving as tables in my living room for the past 2 years.
Light between oceans as well. I'm only in the first chapter and it hasn't really grabbed my attention yet. I just finished the snow child by eowyn something.

The Night Circus - it had been recommended so often that I added it my reading list. I was skeptical when reading the overview, but so glad I got it anyway.
Today will be a lazy day - reading, cooking, TV. DH has plans tonight, so I will spend the night with a glass of wine and my book.
Tomorrow we have some errands. Pretty boring weekend.
