Someone help me understand

How do you have the posts sorted? On MM, I just had the posts post in order they were posted. Now, I can't make them do it and it is driving me BANANAS!!

This board can't do that right now, but apparently it will be able to later this year.

unfortunately we don't have that feature yet.

I am having trouble keeping up and feeling overwhelmed so I've been making use of the "mark all as read" button to clear things out every so often.

the way I surfed the nest was to scroll down looking for starred posts first, then going back and reading other stuff. But we had a fraction of the posts to scroll through!

I prefer bump mode. I always thought it was weird the nest didn't have it as a default.

Really? I feel like so many posts will get lost this way! So many posts are spin offs from other posts and I want to see what started those posts in order!

I prefer it chronological too, it does help when there are S/O or F/U posts or days full of drama when it makes no sense out of order.

and posts do get lost. I am having trouble finding posts, although you can see what posts you've participated in by clicking on the profile link up top.

If you hit the column title 'last post' it will sort it in ascending or descending order depending on how many times you click it. You can also click on any of the other headers to sort by those headers (although it makes no sense to use the other options, except maybe number of replies).

It sorts it by the most recent response to the post, not the post itself. So if I comment on a post that someone posted yesterday, it would pop up to the top for those that have it sorted that way.

I misread what you wanted and I now I get what you were asking. I quit sorting by chronological order of the original post a while back so I didn't even think about it being something someone else would want! I just assume everyone does it like me.
