Last week I ran out of my trusty Smashbox tinted moisturizer so I went to Sephora only to be told that they don't carry it anymore. They suggested I try Smashbox BB Cream instead so I did. I really thought I liked the BB Cream last week because it had fuller coverage but was still light. But today I get to work and realize that my blush looks all chalky and gross and up by my nose it looks like dry skin outlined in makeup. I'm this close to just washing my whole face because it looks so bad. My skin isn't dry. Is BB cream just a lot more cakey? Can I get my money back? It was $44!
I have their BB cream and I have to use moisturizer and primer under it, like I would with regular foundation, to get a good finish. If I use it on my bare skin, I don't like it, but if I moisturize and prime, I love it. But you can definitely return it if you don't like it.
Good to know, thanks. I think I just want my tinted moisturizer back. Does anyone know if Smashbox is going to stop selling this or just Sephora? I see some still available on Amazon (where I often purcashed it cheaper than Sephora) but it's no longer direct from Amazon which makes me wonder.
If I buy four of them will they stay good for two years do you think? I can't remember how long they last but I think it's several months. Gah, makeup investment. I'm too cheap.
I used my last tube of their TM off and on over the course of like 18 months, so I would think unopened tubes should still be good for two years. Maybe email or chat with Smashbox customer service and ask them if it's being discontinued, and if so, how long it should last.
