I think we are trying to see who can empty the flex card first! Allie has the flu and had to go to the doctor today. I am in the waiting area to be seen about my ankle. :/ H has to see his PCP about his issue.

My flex card is crying along with H.

I think C is trying to fill every available prescription with his latest illness. He's currently on:

Tylenol/Advil for fever
Qvar (inhaler)
Abuterol (inhaler)
Amoxicillin
Claritin
Singulair

At least the Tylenol is keeping his fever down. If only the poor guy could breathe.

I win! Looks like I might need surgery or PT. I might have a torn Achilles. I just had X-rays and got two referrals. One to ortho and one to podiatry. If it is something broken I will go to ortho. If it is something in the soft tissue, I will go to podiatry. The doctor described my tendon as "squishy and not good."

Oh no! Here's hoping its something that can be fixed without surgery.

Why two allergy meds? I hope he feels better soon.

The singulair is to help with his cough/asthma like symptoms. The Claritin to help with hay fever and countless grass allergies. I don't think either are really doing much. Our follow up with the allergist is on Friday so we'll see then.

Allie does best on Zyrtec. We have tried all of the others with no help. Good luck Thur.

You guys are falling apart! I hope your ankle ends up not being as serious as it sounds.

gogadgetgo - I hope C feels better soon! It seems like he has been sick a long time. They add singular to my asmtha meds whenever things are harder to control. I'm on Advair now, and I almost never have to use my rescue inhaler. Qvar never worked for me.

He's a lot better today thank goodness. I've missed my happy kiddo.

I know kids get sick but it seems like everytime I take him to storytime or a play date, he gets a cold. Then he's sick for 2 weeks and gets better only to catch another cold at the next play date. His pedi thought it was allergy related but the allergy meds didn't seem to do much to lessen the impact of his first cold this time.

And this 2nd one is way worse than anything he's had in ages. I just don't know anymore.

Not broken. Which is what we thought. I am waiting on podiatry to call with an appointment. :/
