Anyone else - ovulatory pain after Clomid? (TMI)

Anyone else experience severe ovaluatory pain after Clomid? Is my experience normal???

My experience:

So, I did a 5 day round of Clomid, ending 2/15 (starting Clomid on CD3). Last Wednesday and Thursday, my OPK was +. On Thursday- Friday, I began experiencing pretty uncomfortable abdominal pain, and I was extremely uncomfortable in positions other than laying down or half laying down. Walking was uncomfortable.

At first, I chalked it up to severe constipation/gas and treated with heating pad, water, GAS-X, and warm baths (I've had A LOT of issues in this area, and mostly have it under control with diet/fiber pills). As time went on though, I realized, I was not constipated :-) I still didn't connect it with the Clomid. .

 On Saturday AM, still feeling uncomfortable, I called my insurance company's nurse line and talked her through meds, symptoms. She completely freaked me out about ovarian hyperstimulation and had me contact the GYN on-call. I did, he told me to take it easy, that I might have a cyst,  and go to ER if it got worse. Fine, I hung out on the couch for Thursday-Friday.

On the positive side of things, I'm MUCH better today - almost no "uncomfortable" feeling and my GYN was comfortable with pursuing a "monitor" course of action instead of seeing me.

I never took clomid, but have had a few painful O cycles, especially post D&C where things were tender. It sucks because there really isn't a good way to relieve it. And every so often I'd move wrong and pinch something inside it would seem.

I had pain similar to what you're describing on clomid. It freaked me out, too.

Follow what your Dr. said because it can turn into OHSS. I drank a lot of Gatorade.

Hope the pain and uncomfortable ness goes away fast!

Thanks Ladies. I don't feel like quite a mess any longer! I'm feeling much better; no pain but feeling a little bit like things are "moved around" or out of position in my abdomen. Does that make sense? It sounds a little goofy!

My belly area definitely swelled and felt all out of sorts on clomid and Gonal-f.

I think more than anything I feel a little silly that I didn't put it together that the clomid was causing the pain until the nurse mentioned it! I mean HELLO!! I guess I've never been the sharpest knife in the drawer!
