My bucket list has changed; #1 is now Bora Bora

in French Polynesia thanks to this week's AR episode.  I cannot believe how gorgeous this place is...just breathtaking. 

What places are on your bucket list?

Mine are
#1 Bora Bora/French Polynesia
#2 theatre ruins in Greece
#3 Pyramids of Giza in Egypt
#4 Australia or New Zealand
#5 Easter Island

There are a million more places I want to go, but these are my top 5 (for today).

I highly recommend Moorea - a small island off of Tahiti. There are several wonderful hotels and the food is the best that I've EVER had. I would give my left arm to go back again.

I knocked Angkor Wat off of my list last month!

I would love to see Machu Picchu. Cities I would love to visit are London, Prague, Istanbul, and I would love to go to some Scandinavian countries.

I went on my honeymoon in Bora Bora.
I can't describe how incredible. I've traveled a lot, but this is the place I want to move to. Forever.
It was absolutely incredible.

And for DH: Norway

We have an unconfirmed report that there is a very distant aunt who was born in Africa. So if it's true, my list may change a bit.

btw, I've seen living social deals for around $2,500 per person for a week in Bora Bora or Moorea.

Bora Bora is really nice, but I agree that Moorea and Huahine are prettier (of the French Polynesian islands). My family went on a cruise through FP when I was in college, and it was pretty amazing. That cruise line has gone under since then, and I don't think anyone else is doing cruises in FP.

If you want to do Macchu Picchu, the time is now. They predict in the next 10 years, that the cost will go through the roof and options will be limited. And I cannot express how spectacular it is...there are no pictures that can do it justice.

I keep trying to change it to other pictures of the Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu, but tinypic can be such a dick for me.

We went to FP on our honeymoon and stayed at Le Taha'a at the end of our trip.  It was F-ing amazing.  Considering it was about $1k/night in 2006, this is a pretty great deal.
 
We went to Bora Bora and Huahine too.  Personally I'd not put Huahine in the same league as Bora Bora, I thought BB was quite a bit more breathtaking.  I've heard great things about Moorea, that's on our wish list when (not if, haha) we go back.
