What is your favorite brand?
I need all new bras. Mine are all sized incorrectly due to losing weight. I hate Victoria's Secret. I wasn't that impressed with Soma. I don't have the $$$ to go to Nordstrom. I would like to spend less money than I normally would (like 10-20 per bra, instead of like 50-75) because I am still losing weight, but I really can't go on wearing the ones I have. I have big boobs, if that matters (I think probably a 34 DD now? I was like a 38DDD). Help me please!

TJ Maxx. It's hit or miss, but it's nice because you can try on a a lot of different brands and see what fits you properly. I've seen Wacoal there before and their bras are really nicely made.
I love my SOMA bras. I wait for a sale and stock up. I usually can get them for about $20
You know, I loved my first round of Soma bras, years ago when I was much larger. I got another set when I got to my first goal weight and I found they just didn't hold up as well, like the quality went down. Maybe it was just the styles I had.

I wear a hard to find size, 30DD, and I found one at Nordstrom rack for $4 about a month ago. It's Betsey Johnson, and its super comfy. TJ Maxx and Marshalls might also have some great deals.
I bought a couple at Walmart last night because I am desperate. I wear a 38DD and cannot find them at Target, or at my JCP. Sadly, I am now wearing a Playtex 18 hour bra from a box. It is hideous, but seems to have enough support and will last me until I can by more, hopefully in a smaller size.

So talk to me about this losing weight thing. I'm losing (slowly, down 11lbs in 4 weeks so far), and I'm hoping I lose in my chest too. I'm currently a 40DDD. A breast reduction is definitely in my future once we are finished having kids, but I would love it if they shrank a little as I'm losing weight. Have yours gone down at all? How much (if you don't mind sharing!)?
I'll butt in here too.
I've noticed mine are a little perkier. I do light weight training and log my food on MFP. I notice the first place I lose is my chin and then my boobs. When I was a DD, it was hard for me to work out, so I had to go at it lightly and eat better. Even then my chest became more tighter and my breasts perkier.

I'm an open book!
I lost about 65 lbs total over the past few years. I did it slowly and I worked out. I lost my boobs, but not alarmingly (lol). They are still fairly firm and nice looking, though they do look much less "perfect" than they did when I was heavier. Mine went from like 38/40DDD to about a 34 DD now. I wouldn't mind if they were a little smaller, like a D or C, but I'm still losing so we'll see where they end up.
Good job on losing 11 lbs! The first part is the hardest, and slowly is definitely the way to go. I have been a yo-yo-er all my life, and this time it really stuck because I didn't do anything outrageous. I truly made it a lifestyle change and I still eat and drink pretty much whatever/whenever I want, just with a LOT more moderation (and not eating 3 desserts a night).
how many bras do you need? listen, i'd rather have two AWESOME bras than 4 shitty bras. go big or go home, i say.
I am typically this way, too. I don't need many. BUT I also don't want to spend a lot of money (that I don't have, booooo) on expensive bras that will only fit for a couple of months. I'm po'!

gotcha. before i became a bra snob, i liked maidenform.
I like that I lose in my face/chin. I have high cheek bones and a more oval face so it makes me feel prettier. H noticed my cheeks don't squish like they used to since I'm thinner, but I'm OK with that. I also no longer have a double chin.
I really like Marshalls/TJ Maxx or any of the other discount stores (Last Call, Nordstrom Rack, etc) for bras. I manage to beat the crap out of them and I hate to spend more than $20 on a bra.
I need to go somewhere and get measured again. Since weaning DS my previously nice boobs are now non-existent.
