I've heard a lot of panning of this season so far (except for the cocaine and dinner party episodes, which were both brilliant), but I think the whole season has been fantastic, and has a definite trajectory.

I've read things about Dunham being reckless with how she portrays women on her show and being a terrible role model for her generation. The most recent example was how pathetic Marnie is and lets her artist "boyfriend" (forgot his name...) manipulate her and how pissed Marnie should have been when he locked her in that tv room to show her his project.
