Where someone (involuntarily) updates you on someone you once dated and you think, "WHEW. I seriously dodged a bullet there."

Yeah. So much so that at this point, I prefer not to get updates since Mr. Kuus makes such fun of me over them. Almost all the updates I've gotten have had the guy turn out to be gay, except the crazy one who wanted to get together and see where it went, and the predatory rapey one.

Oh yes. There are a couple guys I briefly dated who are now notorious serial cheaters (one is still married and the other was divorced a couple years ago).

And there are a few guys I've dated who are prefectly fine, but I still think "we would have never worked out" or "I made the right choice" when I'm around them.

One was suggested repeatedly by Facebook as a potential friend. The first time it happened, I clicked on his profile just to see what he was up to, and when the picture of him got big, I jumped and screamed a little. I think I actually got on the Nest immediately and told you all about it, too. He is... less than handsome.

I'm so glad FB hasn't suggested any of my exes as friends, but Linkedin has and he still looked the same. I saw someone today at a meeting who looked just like him too, it was creepy.

I actually ran into one of my ex's at my nephew's soccer game a while back. I could probably have gone the rest of my life without seeing that and been happy. He was also less than handsome, which is unfortunate because he used to be really nice to look at...

Most of my actual exes are doing a-ok. Now.
One had a bit of a heroin issue for a while. (Funny how different that word is if you add an "e" to it.)

Other than that, it's the hookups that make me glad they were ever only hookups.

One of my exes was convicted of killing his wife and burying her on their property. So yeah. On a lighter note, I looked up a cute guy from jr high on facebook. I had gotten into my only fight over him (another girl liked him and he liked me so she hit me and I hit her back - we were 12) And, he's not even cute. He's kind of creepy like van down by the river, or like lives in his parents basement creepy.

I had excellent taste as a youngster.

I dated him for almost two years in high school. He cheated on me with the girl he married. We went to visit his mom (who lived far away) and she pulled me aside and basically told me that it would never work and that I should break up with him because I was too much like her and he was too much like his dad (who was CRAZY). I should have broken it off sooner, but I was in HS, and very trusting (or slightly dim).

No. Never. I don't have any exes.

I'm still in touch or friends with a lot of people I had crushes on at various times, and I think most of them turned out pretty good. I'm very happy with DH, but I think I'd have been very happy with many of them too... although my life might have been very very different.

I have dated more than one guy who has later come out as gay.  You're not alone

I haven't really kept in touch with any exes, the transient nature of the Navy pretty much made sure of that. However, every time I talk to the XH then look at DH I think to myself that I dodged a bullet, but since I married and procreated with him, I don't know that I really dodged that bullet. I guess I just escaped it.
