Are there multiple doctors and the other people have a different doctor?
Is your doctor tied up with a delivery right now?
Ask the receptionist how much longer she expects the wait to be and if it's too long then reschedule. Maybe I'm in the minority but I love my OBGYN so much that I don't mind (and have) waited a long time for him. He spends quality time with his patients listening to and answering any questions. I also know from time to time he is delivering a baby and that will push his appointments back some. I really don't mind as it's the price I pay to see an outstanding doctor in my mind.

Yeah, that's nothing. For medical things, I don't get up in arms until it's been an hour.
I once waited 2hrs for a prenatal appointment, but that was b/c there was a medical emergency in the back, with my doctor attending it (it was the MFM, they don't dick around!). I figure, shit happens. As long as the doctor isn't in the back poppin' wheelies or whatever, they're working really hard.
That said, after the hour I give up and reschedule (except prenatal ones, those were gold).
Is no one reading what time she posted this? She's been waiting an hour and a half. That's way too fucking long. Either stick your head out or get dressed and reschedule for the first appointment of the day.

I think 30 minutes is pretty standard. Dd had a pediatrician that was regularly 2+ hours late for all her appts. We changed after 4 times of that happening.

Go up to the desk and ask if they know why there has been such a delay and if they can predict how much longer it will be. See it's long, see if they can squeeze you with with another doctor.
I've had long waits before and I've been the cause of a delay (once I came a day late for a prenatal appointment and they very graciously squeezed me in and once for my PPD appointment). I try to be tolerant because of that.
I went for a regular prenatal appointment once, and the girl at the front desk forgot to turn my sign-in card in, so my doctor didn't even know I was there. After an hour, I went up and said something and her face turned SO red. I was hormonal and stuff so I got mad, lol. When they checked my blood pressure it was way high and the nurse was like "are you ok??".
The doctor called me back about 2 minutes later and the appointment lasted all of 10 minutes. When I left, the girl at the front had been crying and was so flustered, I felt bad. The doctor really yelled at her.

Awkward. I'm not hormonal and I would still get mad lol
I think you need a new one because your current one won't do anything about your cysts that are causing a ton of pain.
Yeah that's another reason I wanna change GYNs. I'm going to spend tomorrow calling around and seeing about getting a different doctor. Changing my BCP hasn't really helped but I'm giving it a month or two more to really see if it does.

Give it a few months. Cysts can be dealt with by BCP, but it does take time for them to shrink.
Oh I understand that. The first one I had was back in September. It finally burst this month when I went to the ER thinking it was my appendix. He switched my BCP and like I said, I'll give it a month or two longer to see if it helps any.
If youre in the dfw area, let me know. I have an AMAZING doctor. I've never waited over 30 minutes, she takes the time to listen, she's respectful and very into holistic health.
