Marisa was always a great eater but recently within the last week or so she wants nothing to do with feeding herself or eating anything that she has to chew (she will, however, eat cheerios, fruit and mums until she blows up). She now only wants to be spoon fed and what we give her better be smooth or else its being spit back out.
She will pick stuff up in her hands, and smush it in between her fingers. She will look at it and inspect it, smell it, and then it gets smushed and thrown on the floor and she whines because she is hungry. Some might actually make it into her mouth but she'll taste it and then spit it out. Mealtime is starting to become a project. : /
Please tell me this is just a phase or possibly teething. I think her top two teeth are coming in.
Actually over the past week Lillian has been very similiar. She usually inhales her food, like I can't keep enough on her tray. But lately she hasn't been that interested. They say at DC she is eating good but at dinner she isn't. I know her teeth are bothering her so I thought maybe that was it or she is bored with the food choices.

Mel has been incredibly picky lately. I'm a little jealous your lo will eat if you spoon feed her. Mel will eat a bit both ways (feeding herself and letting me give her purees/yogurt), but then decides she hates it all and will spit everything out.
Meal time here is a production, which it never was before since she loves to eat.
Week 46 is apparently a wonder week. Please let it end quickly, I miss my happy, sweet baby.
Alexis has been an eating machine lately. She really likes to feed herself she isn't a huge fan of purees but she will eat them if I offer them before finger food. She also has a serious addiction to blueberries.
mine is so great about eating, though I have one of the younger babies (just 10 months) so I'm worried this picky eating phase is right around the corner!
They say she eats well at daycare and at dinner she usually chows down. I give her fruit, cheese, baby cookies etc. to tide her over and then for dinner she'll eat whatever we're having.
She's also happy to still be spoon fed which is great, so if we aren't having the healthiest of dinners I can let her have some but then spoon feed her a few freezer cubes so I know she's getting veggies.
Calista has decided she hates the high chair and will only be fed on my lap the last few days. She has been cranky during feeding too and not knowing what she wants. I am pretty sure just a phase.
Jake has days when he packs away the solid food and we give him more than we initially thought. He also has days where he is completely uninterested in solids and only wants the boob.

Both are great eaters in their own way. Dinner is the quietest Etta is all day, and she looooooves feeding herself table food. Claire has never met a (jarred) food she doesn't like, and loves to scarf down her purees. I really enjoy mealtime, not so much the cleanup.
Lincoln still loves food just as much as ever. He's really into sharing lately though, so I have to pretend to take bites of things he offers me or else he'll just keep shoving it in my face.

This actually sounds a lot like my DS, except he never was a great eater (although an excellent nurser). This is the exhaustive list of things he has fed himself: puffs, cheerios, cheese, cooked carrots, black beans, bread and rolls. We spoonfeed him 95% of his food.
Chloe is a great eater. Last night for dinner she had a jar of ham/pinnapple/rice dinner and then she ate maybe 20 pieces of smoked salmon and a 1/2 container of my strawberry yogurt. I never have a problem with her. I try to do meals that I half spoon feed and half let her self feed. Ashlynn is an awful eater, it's a fight every night. She's always been a picker eater.
I think J is going through a growth spurt right now, because she's eating like a maniac.
Babies are weird. They go through phases with everything.
This. Down to the J. He is eating anything and everything I put in front of him. I often have to make more, and he is also accepting the boob whenever offered. He's crazy.
