Lane's suicide was not a major surprise to me either but seeing it all unfold really got to me, especially watching Joan's reaction. And I feel horrible about the guilt Don must feel. I missed Peggy too! I really love her. (SN: I just watched the last 2 shows back to back- Don's lingering kiss on her hand... OMG!!) Glen doesn't bother me too much but I think it's because he's a fresh reminder of the earlier seasons which I actually kind of miss. (I just started watching the show last summer so the changes were fast and drastic for me. It's my first time watching the shows in real time.) It was odd though that there was no blow up about him visiting her but I just assumed that Megan was too consumed with Sally being "missing" and Don was too consumed with Lane's death, that they didn't respond normally... ?
Ditto the above - the suicide was very disturbing. I just watched Game of Thrones before, and all the violence in that show doesn't bother me b/c it's like fantasy. But Lane's suicide and the reactions seemed so realistic - tragic.
I feel awful for Don too. I feel like they were phasing Peggy out. DH thinks we'll see her at the rival agency, but I'm not so sure.
Glen sucks - what is he the writer's kid? I thought he was a psychopath - turns out, he's just a bad actor.
ETA: I loved Ken Cooper's stipulations too. It's about time he gave Pete a taste of his own medicine. I forgot Alex Mac's dad was a big wig at Dow Chemical. to the Napalm conversation.
I know a lot of people are saying that Lane's suicide was expected, but thinking from the characters perspective it will be a complete shock. We know that he embezzled money and was having all sorts of issues, but everyone on the show knows nothing of it (except for Don now) for everyone as SCDP it will just feel like that "what did we miss" feeling.
Loved seeing Betty being a good Mom, and being able to still be Betty by calling Megan and rubbing it in her face.
Also thought the Jag not starting was so clever since the whole set-up with Bert always complaining that the cars just weren't reliable. From what I have be seeing on twitter, Jaguar is actually loving the show and is touting that the quality has improved a great deal since the 60's...but still has the sex appeal.
I'm glad Lane is gone- he was okay, but didn't really fit in with the rest of the cast. I thought it was really weird that there was no mention of Peggy. I also thought Glen was supposed to be a psychopath, but he has turned out to be really boring so far. He still gives me the creeps.
Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that Jon Hamm and whoever plays Roger have been the voice of real commercials aired during the show? I don't think either of them have particularly great voices, and it is really weird to hear them during the commercial breaks.

Lane's suicide was so sad. I figured at the beginning of the episode when Don showed him the cancelled check and how that ended that he would try to kill himself. I'm glad that Joan didn't actually see Lane when he was discovered at the office. I wonder if Don will come clean with the rest of the partners as to what happened or if he will keep it to himself.
I really don't like that Glen kid. I didn't like him in the earlier seasons either. I did think that he was going to try to put the moves on Megan though based on his previous experience with Betty in earlier seasons.
Peggy doesn't work at SCDP anymore so I didn't think it was weird that she wasn't in the episode. I'm guessing that we won't see her until next season if at all. I miss Peggy though!Although if they have funeral for Lane, she might pop up.
It was nice to see Betty being nurturing for a change towards Sally. However, in true form she didn't miss the opportunity to throw it in Megan's face.
Ken knows about the deal they made with Joan, so I'm sure this changes his views on the agency which prompted his stipulations to Roger. Good for him.
I can't believe next week is the last episode. It seems like it just started.
Lane's suicide was almost dramatic irony. The audience could see it coming, but the characters were clueless.
Glen is creepy in a Wes Anderson/American Beauty kind of way. I don't like getting sidetracked with the boring or irrelevant story lines. But his "everything you think will make you happy ends up turning to crap" or whatever line was amazing.
