Hi....IDK if this board has "regulars" yet, so let me introduce myself just in case. I'm a longtime (but sporadically posting) knot/best/bump member; name there is SunMoon&Stars. FTM to a 9 mo girl.
I also have the following strollers: a Snap n Go that will soon be useless when she outgrows the bucket, and a Graco Stylus that came as a travel system with the bucket (I know, but my BFF talked me into it)
DH and I have been keeping a stroller in each of our trunks. After some research I decided that when we ditch the SnG (or maybe sooner) we'll get a City Mini GT. My question is this: is an umbrella stroller worth having in addition? Or should I be considering one vs. the other? Thanks:)

I have a snap n go that I still use, but probably will stop using this month. We just got a City Mini GT. I'm still going to get an umbrella stroller. I want something smaller for stores and traveling. (I'm looking at the Uppababy G-luxe and the g-lite).

Welcome!
The GT is just like the CM with better wheels right? If so I don't think you need an umbrella.
We have the B-Agile which is similar to the CM, so far I've never wished I had an umbrella stroller. (I have however wished it had air filled wheels so I think you'll probably love the GT)

We have an umbrella and a jogger. I initially planned on just an umbrella. I found that living in a place with snow all winter, I had to have one with big tire wheels to navigate poorly shoveled snow. Other than snow, I would be fine with just an umbrella, or city mini. We have the city mini as our only double, and it has been totally fine.
Where will you be using it? Malls? Parks? Travelling? Buses?
For me, I would like an umbrella stroller for the bus and for travel. Otherwise I love my huge stroller. However, I walk a lot so I need one that is easy to push, comfy for the baby, etc.

Sorry that this doesn't address the opening poster's question--
I was looking at both of these when my daughter turned two. Up until that point I wore her all the time, but was pregnant and needed a stroller. I decided on the g-luxe for the recline option and the slightly bigger wheels. I am very glad I did, because she falls asleep in it a lot.

Good to know! Thank you! I wear DD most of the time too, but I like to put her in the stroller at the mall and stores where I might be trying stuff on and I still find the City Mini GT to be a bit big for that. I was leaning towards the g-luxe and you are the second person to say that the recline feature really came in handy.
