I can't eat eggs. I also can't eat anything with MSG in it, and I have to be careful/gentle with all seasonings. My weird one, though, is vegetables. I have not found a vegetable that does not make me sick. Fruits are okay, but vegetables are bad news. That definitely causes some issues with trying to keep up with nutritional requirements.
ETA: I tend to do better with less substantial foods. Snack foods usually settle much easier than full meal foods (like foods that involve a major protein). People judge me for my chewy bars an fruit snacks, but most days it's the only way I can get enough calories in.
I regularly avoid eggs, dairy like ice cream or milk, sugar free anything, dried fruits, carbonated beverages...
My tolerance for raw vegetables, salads, fruit, coffee, popcorn, nuts all vary greatly on the inflammation going on at the time. And even if I can tolerate it, it's only in small doses.

I'm not alone! People look at me like I'm out of my mind when I tell them I can't eat salad. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "But there's nothing in lettuce! There's no way it could upset your stomach!"

I hate when people do that. I get that from friends and it feels like I'm being called a liar.

I will never forget the conversation I had with my best friend in high school where she yelled at me and told me that I needed to quit hiding behind a fake illness and just admit I was bulimic/anorexic. It's really sad to know when people think that way about you.

What the WHAT?! Oh my.
I think what is hard for people to understand thatwith Crohns, the disease is different for everyone (and it changes along the way!). So many diseases (like Diabeted or Celiac) have a hard and fast rule. No sugar. Or no gluten. With Crohns, there is no rule. So while your cousin's sister's neighbor can gorge on nuts doesn't mean I can. And just because right now I can enjoy a small salad, doesn't mean that in a few weeks I can't go near it.
It was a learning curve for me so I can understand why others stay confused, too. But calling someone a liar is never, ever okay.
