Welcome to the March Challenge!
Our theme for the month is Re-Use It and Re-Invent It!The goal is to repurpose something, either something you already own or something you couldn't resist, and make it work for you.
-Anyone is welcome to participate. There is no sign up, no membership, no secret handshake.
-There is no competition. No voting will be done, no prizes, no winners. The purpose is to be motivated and kept accountable to get things done, and have some fun!
-Remember to take photos! At the end of the month we will do another thread where everyone can share what they accomplished! Again, just for fun - no winners or losers.
-Add the badge to your siggie for the month:

To insert, click profile at the top of the page. On the right side, click "edit profile" and select the "personal" tab. Scroll down to the box marked signature and add your code, deleting the asterisks. Be sure to hit "Save Personal Settings" on the bottom!
To resize to your own preference, add width=xxx (xxx being whatever number you choose) inside of the brackets but outside of the quotes.
I'll PIP later. We took spare wood pieces from an oak buffet and cut them down to make shelves and coat hooks. I ordered iron brackets and mounted them in a kitchen nook. They look great! We also have much needed space for hanging coats & briefcases . I ordered the hardware from Van Dyke's - great quality & prices!
We took this dresser that my grandparents bought for my mom's nursery when she was born, and repainted it for my 3 year old's room. It's in rough shape but this gave it new life and it's special because it was her grandma's.
Also, thank you Emo for taking this over when I turned into a big slacker. You rock! I am trying to get back into doing these - I didn't do anything for Feb. but hopefully getting a project done this month will get me back into gear to do some every month.
Took the shower curtain that was in the master bath and made a curtain for the guest room out of it. That window is long but narrow so not much else works. Really lightened the space.
My mom dug a bunch of stuff out of my cupboards to redecorate with.
I used an old wire shower caddy to hang my necklaces off. It's not pretty at all, but it works really well. I love how I can just snap my necklaces on the wires.
I'm using a cakestand as a plant stand.
H dug out some black hooks from who knows where and hung them up for me for Rubes outside gear. She learned how to pull the 3M hooks I had off the wall. Silly kid. It also matches our big coat rack and looks 1000xs better.
