DH's parents will be coming to our house the weekend before Easter and I will make a lunch for us on Sunday before they head home. I'll do a ham for sure with a jack daniels glaze for sure. Maybe scalloped potatos or mashed; a green veg, not sure what; rolls. I'd like to a jello salad of some sort and no idea yet for dessert.
What will your menu consist of?
I always like Easter meal best - cooking with the in-laws and then out to lunch with my family on Easter itself.
For Easter, dinner will be maple glazed ham with mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, sugar snap peas and a salad of spinach, strawberries and toasted pecans in a lime-poppyseed dressing. B & SIL will be bringing another vegetable dish, Mom is bringing a dessert and I am making a flourless chocolate cake for my sweetheart's birthday.
I'm not sure what I want to do yet, if anything. We live far from close family and last year we spent Easter with atheists (which was weird for us when Easter is a big deal to us) and other friends who were not as close with.

I need to start planning, but all I can think about is dessert. I really want to make a cheesecake. I'm waiting to see what DH's schedule to be. If he works, I will host dinner, but if he is off we will probably go down and visit our families.
I'm not hosting this year, but last year I got a Honeybaked ham, I devilled some eggs, made an awesome asparagus and morel side and some lemon blueberry cupcakes with Peter Rabbit toppers - yes, DS made me all Martha Stewarty. My mom contributed potatoes au gratin.
