We got them from Ikea, as well as the farmhouse sink. The total for BOTH the sink and the countertops was $560. It's pretty good quality and has a 25 year warranty, so it might be worth considering.

No, you shouldn't cut right on them; however, we took some of what we had left over and cut it up to make smaller cutting boards.
Honestly, I was a little hesitant to get butcher block. I wanted quartz, but it was a budget buster, so we did this for now and mght upgrde to quartz down the road. Now that they are installed, I love them. They look better in person than the pic I posted because it was a cell phone pic taken at night
You can also try Boos Block (www.johnboos.com) if you're interested in a high quality product. Their counters are generally thicker and more professional than the Ikea version. They are definitely more expensive, but probably worth looking into.
