You could play the explicit versions of Eminem and a few other names that I can't recall right now out the window when they're around. Soon enough they should repeat some key words at home, point to your window when asked where they heard that and then their moms will keep them away.
I've been feeling extra combative lately, so take this with a grain of salt... but if my kids came home and told me they were asked to leave a common area (granted the front of your patio isn't 'common', but still public property) in a neighborhood that I pay for as well, in the middle of the day, I'd be pretty pissed off. If they were being destructive or belligerent that's a different story.
After dark/quiet hours though? I would ask them to leave.
Come on, these kids probably don't have a yard they can play in or a play area in the complex. Is it so hard to deal with a little noise for a while in the evening? Its not like its 10pm and they're throwing rocks through your window.
I think piles of dog shit are a great remedy for this. Seriously, though, we were never allowed to run around other people's homes screaming our heads off. That wouldn't change if we were in a crowded neighborhood of smaller homes (which we were) or an apartment complex. If the kids are old enough to play without parental supervision then they're old enough to learn that lesson.

Tell them they have to be quiet or else the little garden elves who live there will go find somewhere else to live. Then show them how to play nice and quietly around the elves and how elves love when kids play by them because happy kid energy is like solar power for their houses but they have supersonic hearing and loud noises scare them.
