I need some help here. My 15 month old, who has always been super easy going -- great sleeper, great eater, can take her anywhere -- has suddenly, overnight turned into a terror. It's literally like a switch was flipped. She screams the entire time she is in her car set, lays in the floor and pitches fits, etc. - she has never done any of this before. It has only been going on 3 days, but it is exhausting. Maybe we are just hitting the terrible twos early, but I wanted to get thoughts about whether your kiddos had similar sudden behavior changes with teething or ear infections. She is just not herself and I am trying to figure out if something more than becoming a handful toddler is the culprit!
It's probably normal, but has she had strep throat recently? I read several articles about sudden behavior changes as a complication to strep. I think it's called PANDAS.
We had noticeable behavior changes when DS was getting a molar. He's also 15 months. I would call the pedi just to be safe though. That sounds more severe than what we went through.
Is she teething? My 16mo LO was teething HARD last week and turned into an absolute nightmare for 5-6 days. And then the switch flipped back and she's her usual sweet self. But it was hell while it lasted.
