I haven't really been watching this season, I only really tuned in tonight because there's nothing else on. Look, I love "Ghost" and John Hughes and Santana, but there's a squick factor that I just can't get passed this episode. Am I alone? What did you think of the episode?
And did they introduce Burt's cancer storyline and then never return to it or did I just miss it?
I actually thought this episode was less squicky than some others (Finn kissing Emma squicked me the fuck out). But then again, I fast forwarded through most of the high school scenes. Plus, I loved the Santana scenes - both the snarky ones and the one at the end with Rachel. But yeah, this whole season is meh.
Was there a "next time on Glee" clip? My DVR cut off before then.
I liked the Say Anything bit (In Your Eyes and the boom box), but hated the Ghost reference at the end (love the song, but the pottery bit in a high school felt creepy).

I think it was that all the kids were there with him during the Say Anything bit. It was weird. Do something on your own Schue! A football coach wouldn't bring his whole team out to help him win back his wife. The level of personal relationships he has with his students outside of school creep me out as well. I really don't like Schue though, or the actor for that matter.
I think I would have been okay with either song if they were done in different ways. It was the setting that made them creepy to me, not the use of the songs themselves.
This show has jumped not only the shark, but a school of blue whales.
Yes! I think it's inevitable when you have a show about high school kids - they grow up and graduate and then you have to come up with ridiculous ways to keep them around.
I still watch the show but don't really "watch" intently. I'm usually cooking or reading while it's on.
