We are looking for some new patio furniture- something mid-line, good quality, something that is heavy/durable. We’ve checked out our local Home Depot and Lowe’s, and the pieces are so lightweight.
Any places (local or online), or some brands that are reputable would be great. We are specifically looking for a small square table (for 4 chairs), patio umbrella/stand, and possibly a lounge chair with storage chest. Thanks!
We bought ours at a local garden center chain - half price on a Labor Day weekend a couple years ago. Most places sell out of "end of season sales" by July or August though.
We just got a basic aluminum/glass topped round table, 4 chairs and umbrella. It's nothing amazing, but for what we paid, it's just fine.
The table is rectangular with room for 4 chairs, and has 2 leaves that fold out to fit up to 10 chairs if you put two on the ends. We love it. We keep it covered during the summer when not in use and take it inside for the winter so I can't say how durable it is without those precautions, but so far it still looks great.
Can't speak for myself here, I got cheapies at the end of season from lowes. My parents have a 'telescope furniture' set of table and chairs - I don't know the retail price, but they paid like $600 for the set at a charity auction like 15-ish years ago and it's still going today. Only once did they re-sling the chairs, occasionally they get a new patio umbrella for it, and the frame's finish looks good as new still.
We got ours at a local importer/manufacturer that makes/buys everything in Indonesia. It's teak, but way more affordable than any other place we've looked. Not sure where you are, but here's the link. They frequently have awesome sales, so we always wait until then if we need something from them.
We got a iron table and 4 chairs from home depot about 3 years ago and it's held up well. Last summer we added a wicker style seating set for our screened porch from sears and have been really pleased with it. Sears frequently has good sales.

We purchased ours from a small store in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. It is Amish assembled polylumber with stainless steel nails and it doesn't need to be stored or covered in the winter. Looking back, we paid way too much and I'd never buy it from that place again BUT polylumber is amazing. We will probably have this set for the next 20 years.
