Flybaby has never had an issue with diaper rash until the last week or so. In the past if his bottom was a little red, we'd put Desitin on and it would be gone the next day. The rash he has now started out mostly inside the "cheeks" but seemed to spread fast. Its a lot of raised red bumps. I don't let diapers fill up, so he gets changed frequently. My pedi's nurse said it could be more of a yeast based rash and suggested I try Lotrimin. I used it yesterday and its helped some, but does anyone know how long it takes to clear up? It looks a little better today after 2 applications of Lotrimin. He's been so uncomfortable I gave him some Tylenol to sleep last night. Does anyone have any other suggestions? (we've also been letting him sit in a bath for awhile and then putting him bare on a towel for as long as possible after). ETA: Also, where do you get your supplies so they are MM. I printed a $1 off coupon for the Lotrimin, but it was still like $7 for this tiny little tube.

We have been dealing with never ending rash (it seems) thanks to teething poop. What we find helps the most is ample naked time. DS was naked for four hours this past weekend and it helped a TON (although it is a bit messy).
Generic Lotramin is called Clotrimazole and its WAY cheaper. Like $4 for a big tube. This is what I use when DD has a yeast rash and it clears it right up after a few days. I dont give her tylenol- I let her sit in a bath for a bit, then lots of naked time.
We put calmoseptine cream on his bum (not cloth diaper safe) and I swear that clears up anything. They have it behind the counter at CVS and Walgreens. It is a white tube with green label.
