I found the perfect dress for my engagement pictures. My only problem is I don't know what to do for a bra. The back portion is see thru lace (the front and skirt are fully lined). I need to somehow provide some lift for my boobs. I have been looking for a stick on bra, but it seems like there aren't many good options. I have been looking for a longline bra, but it doesn't seem like any go low enough. I thought about taping my boobs, but I'm not sure if it would end up looking good in pictures. I currently wear a 36G bra, but I could probably fit into a DDD or maybe even a DD if I absolutely had to. Does anyone have any suggestions for specific bras or taping techniques?
Super cute dress. I have no suggestions as I would have a similar issue. Hopefully someone has a trick. My only suggestion, you could wear a bra and not do any back shots.
I like my nubra ultralight, but I know they aren't as effective with the larger cup sizes. Another option would be to take it to a seamstress and have cups sewn in. Its a relatively inexpensive alteration, and most places (especially places that do a lot of bridal or formal wear) should be able to do it.

I tried the Nubra thing when I was a smaller size and it looked horrible. Maybe I just didn't know how to use it?
I didn't even think about having cups sewn in. I will have to see how much that would cost. I love the dress, but I'm not so in love with it that I would want to spend a lot of time and money on alterations.
I found a bra where the back clasp part goes down around your waist and then around your stomach. Do you think that might be an option that wouldn't show? They have a picture of it toward the end of the pictures link

Based on where this falls on the model's back, and how far down the back goes, I think it will show.
Getting cups sewn in shouldn't be more than like $10...$20 tops. Or if you know someone who is handy with a needle and thread, you could purchase cups yourself and have a friend do it for you.

Unfortunately, that bra will hit too high on your back and require the straps to be on it to be worn as a low back bra. Without the straps as a low back it won't give you any support. I found this bra through Pinterest and think it may be the only thing that could work for a G cup for a backless dress. The video on the site is NSFW since the models are topless for the demonstration. I haven't tried it yet since I won't need a strapless/backless option until later this summer. Cups may work, but I'm wondering if they would work with the construction of the dress and be able to give you enough support.
I'm starting to think sewn in cups may not offer enough support. Maybe I could have an actual bra sewn in. Idk. Maybe I just need to give up on the dress.
FormerCityGirl those scare me! Lol! I saw These which may be another option, but I don't really expect much out of something that cheap.

I know. I can't decide if they would really work or not. I thought I'd throw them out there as an option. I think your best bet would be to buy the dress (as long as it's returnable) and take it to Nordstrom or a real lingerie shop with trained bra fitters to see what they could do. They should be able to tell you if cups would work for you. The lack of lining on the back of that one is where you would run into an issue with a backless bra since they typically require straps that would show. You could also look into lining the back to wear a backless bra.

I have a dress like that in black and I just wear a bandeau underneath it and wear my regular/or strapless bra. You could find a white or another color for a pop of color. But I'll keep lurking this thread for backless options.

I actually thought about that. Do you think a solid or a lace would look best?
I feel like express has a million dresses that look like that but with a covered back. I'm a DDD as well and could never go with a modified bra like that.

It depends on what that lace looks like. Some of the lace ones loom really cheap and would not match. Personally, I would go for a solid, but if you like the look of the lace one then go for it. I use a solid one with my black dress.

TBH, I don't think sewn in cups will work for this. All it will do is give a shape, but it won't life. If it was a tigher, more corset style of a dress...maybe. It's wide open in the back, so there is nothing to hold up your breasts. They'll just hang in the cups. How did it look/feel when you took the picture above? Were your boobs in a spot that you'd want them to be? Mine would NOT be, so I could just be assuming.

That is actually a picture I found on google. I definitely think I need a real bra with it.
I think I will try to find one of the wrap around bras and if it goes low enough, I will throw on a chunky belt to cover the straps. If that doesn't work then I might see how a bandeau bra would look over a normal bra.
Who knows. I think I may also see what other dresses I can find.

If the dress sits the same on you as that girl, it's reaaaaaally low. Like at your waist. A bra isn't going to go that low. Putting a belt over it would work from the front, but it's going to look weird from the back. Like you'll be able to tell it's hiding something. Well, at least in my opinion. Covering the back opening is just defeating the purpose of it. It's beautiful, but not good for busty girls.
ETA: I skimmed the reviews and found a few girls with larger chests saying how unflattering it was in the bust. I dunno about this one, girl.
