Yay! You'll probably have a lot of information thrown at you. If you have had lab works and tests done, will the specialist have copies of those? If you have copies of any of those maybe bring them along.
Since I just had my first appt last week, I feel I should be of more help. But I kind of suck at coming up with questions until after appts. I left feeling like we had the ground work of a plan in place. It felt good to know what steps we are going to be doing in the next few months.
Some questions may come to you as you through the appt. I hope someone else will chime in and be more helpful than me. Good luck at your appt!
I would just suggest you take a pen and pad. My RE answered a lot of questions I had in his intro/discussion so I didn't have any to actually ask. But I did feel overwhelmed with information and really wished I had written things down.
Good luck! I didn't go into it w/ any questions, but I did ask for clarification on certain test results (we had a few done before the first appointment) and what the next steps were. I had a few questions after and was able to get them answered by the nurse. Ditto taking a pad of paper. I wrote everything down and have referred to it a lot in the months after our appointment.
