When I adopted my cat at 6mo he was a meow mix dry, friskies wet eater. I gradually began the switch to a more natural food. For dry he is on Blue Buffalo. However, Blue Buffalo has a lot of recent complaints against it for dog food. (As does Nutro.) So I will probably switch him to Halo. I have tried and tried to switch him from Friskies. I would add blue buffalo into his friskies and gradually switch that way. Turns out, he hates Pate, which a lot of BB is. He OK with the Simply Nourish, but only 1 variety. He is now 11 months and still on Friskies. Makes me an unhappy pet parent.
Does anyone know of a natural cat food that has the consistency of friskies? Chunky with a lot of gravy.
My cats love the new-ish line of Wellness wet foods - the "sliced" "minced" or "cubed" cans. So there is actually a variety of textures to choose from
My cat likes those too. They don't have a lot of gravy though. I think Wellness also sells pouches that have more gravy. He also really likes Weruva canned food. Merrick also has chunky, non-pate canned food.
My girls also like the chunky style. We are currently feeding them different varieties of My BFF canned. It's grain free and they go crazy for it. Tiki Cat is also a good chunky style wet food, but is more pricey.
