Mine stays open 'late' until 7 p.m. two nights a week - and on a normal day I don't get home until 7, leaving me no time to get to the library. I'm pouting today because I have some good books on hold that I won't be able to start until Saturday.

Oh wow. I can't imagine my library being all that useful to me if it was only open until 7pm. I would have to rush over after work and wouldn't have any time to browse.
Ours is open until 9pm every weekday except Friday when they close at 5pm, which I don't fault them for. Then Saturday they're open 9am-5pm and Sundays they're only open during the winter 1-5. In the summer they're not open on Sundays because people are at the beach a half mile away
In the summer mine is open 10-7:30 M-Th and Saturdays 10-1. Practically all of the public libraries in the state are closed on Fridays and Sundays due to the cut in their state funding a few years ago. My library has the most generous hours that I know of in the area.

During the school year the library is open until 9pm on weeknights, 5:30 on Saturdays and 1:30 on Sundays. In the summer it's open until 9pm M-H, 5:30 on Fridays, 1:30 on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.
My town only has about 500 people in it and while they actually have a really fantastic library their hours are pretty hit or miss. I think both librarians are both part time so they don't really have the staff to keep it open more.
These are the hours: Mon:2:00 pm-7:30 pm Tue:6:00 pm-8:00 pm Wed - Thu:2:00 pm-5:30 pm Fri:9:00 am-11:00 am 2:00 pm-5:30 pm Sat:9:00 am-12:00 pm
I also use the library in the town I grew up and drive through to get to work. The town is much bigger so the library is open till 8:30 on weeknights and I think 12-6 on weekends.
The one I most visit is open until 7 - 2 days a week, but it is also open on Saturdays and Sunday, so I am able to get there at some point during the week if I need to.
City library - closes at 5:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, closes at 8pm Tuesday and Thursday. (The major area libraries are open 1-5 on Sunday.)
County library - closes at 7pm Mon-Thur, 5pm (I think) Fri and Sat.
It varies by branch. The main library location is open from 11AM-8PM, Monday through Friday. The branch I use the most is open from 10AM - 9PM MTW, closed Th, 9-6 F and Sa. Closed Sunday.
All the branches close one day a week. The city just doesn't have the funds for longer hours.
it's open until 9 m-thursday, 5 on friday, 8 on saturday and it's open during the winter months until 7 on sunday and closed sundays during the summer.
I work at a County Library. The hours at our libraries are determined by a combination of County and City funding. Some branches are only open once or twice a week. The branch I work at is open Sun 1-5 Mon 12-8 Tues 12-8 Wed 10-6 Thu 10-6 Fri closed Sat 10-5

Ours used to have really confusing hours - different each day of the week. Thankfully they changed. Nothing happens in our town past 8pm. Sun. 1-5 Mon. - Thu. 9-7 Fri. & Sat. 9-5
The main branch (which is close to my office) is open until 8 M-Th and 6 Fri-Sun and my neighborhood branch is open 11-6 on Saturday and closed on Sunday. I can understand the main branch closing at 8, though. Downtown Seattle gets really dead at night so I think the security issues they'd have being open later would balance out any extra usefulness for patrons.

6 and I'm pissed. The website says they close at 8 so I went last night after MH got home with the car and it was closed. Stupid lying, liar pants website.
