You can have the bagels with the hole of wasted space in the middle.
Seriously though, the regular bagels are too doughy and it feels like I am chewing on them forever. I buy the bagel thins when they are on sale sometimes if they are cheaper than the English Muffins. I haven't been to an Einsteins' Bagels in nearly a decade, though, so maybe I should do that sometime.
MissusTx, I bought a tube of croissants to try with nutella filling like you did the weekend before last. Those looked so good!

I did a quick skim before posting this and indeed, we are the only muffin lovers. Or maybe it's just that I'm a Nutella or Jam lover and it's just easier with those than the bagels where I tend to get it all over my hands when trying to eat it.

For the record, If I ate either for breakfast, it would definitely be whole wheat english muffins with pb&j. However, I rarely eat breakfast and bagels are more lunch-y. I'm pretty agreeable to all forms of bread product though.
