I asked one of the head MODS, "Bump Kathleen," about our post count issue. The following was her response, which I would like to pass on to you guys:
"While the conversion is still underway, your post counts might appear incorrectly (because we're in the process of moving all of your old posts to the new format, so until they're all moved over, the number will probably appear wrong). We've been told by our tech team that this will go back to normal once the conversion is complete!."
Also, for those who have questions, you can always email them at community@thebump.com. I have however had better response times via the nest PMs and MODS.
I didn't even notice if my post count was off. I don't care about post count, or the white background, or any of the other inconsequential things people usually flip out about when there's a format change. But not being a properly functioning site, that I do kind of care about. Did she mention anything about that?
I think TN finally has made it clear that the message board aspect of their website is their lowest priority. Or at least that's my reading of all of this. I can understand why a lot of people would not feel the need to go back if this becomes a good answer for what they want and need.
Yeah, I just don't understand a low post count being something to complain about/write in for. But quite a few people seem concerned, so I guess I am the odd one out.

I find this kind of fascinating. This means that people actually read the Nest articles? Like, enough people that they can make a profit off of that? It's mind-boggling to me. I have never looked at a single portion of the Nest except the message boards.

Me neither but you have to wonder how they could stand to take such a large loss in traffic otherwise. The new format has all but killed many boards that were previously thriving.
