I substituted 1 individual cup of unsweetened applesauce for the oil, reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup, increased the vanilla to 1 tsp and omitted the raisins (I just don't like them). They are actually pretty good and I eat them too. They are a pain to get out of the liners but I've found that once I refrigerate them it is much easier. They are about 100 calories each and with way less sugar than a regular muffin. FWIW, I've found that I can reduce the sugar in a lot of our recipes and things will still taste good.
