I googled best date spots in PA. I got page after page suggesting places in Philly. Lol.
there is a whole lot more state here than just Philly.
I'm aware. I happen to live in the middle of PA.
I was just amused that Philly seems to be the hot spot. I didn't dig into it very far, but on a basic level and quick Google search, evidently Philly is the place to be/go. Which, Philly does have a lot to offer, as far as bigger cities go.

Oregon's is dumb. Touring the stuff from the show Portlandia? Not everyone in Portland likes that show. I can think of far better date things in Oregon: Hood River, Multnomah Falls, the Oregon Coast, Crater Lake. Even just window shopping on 23rd if they want a "true" Portland experience.
I don't agree with PA's for just a date spot. Like someone else said, I think of a date spot as being something that doesn't require overnight or in a romantic way. (Like Poconos Cover Resort - which is specifically catered towards romance)
I think one of PA's largest date spots is probably Knoebels Grove Amusement Park. Provided you like amusement parks. I think not only does it have a lot to offer in entertainment but it also has areas to camp (tent and cabin), picnic, swimming, etc. So you could make it a little remote over night thing, if you wanted.

Mystic, CT really is a super cute little place. I've only been to the aquarium there, though. (<--- would love to go to an aquarium on a date. one of my favorite things.)

So does Pittsburgh. So does Central, PA.
I did assume by your post you were also from PA. I think there are a lot more places that I'd like to go than Philly. I like Philly, but yes, Central PA and Pittsburgh have a lot going on too. I am central PA.
I was actually expecting it to be something like the Incline on Mt Washington. Or even Gettysburg.

I think my amusement more so at Philly was that, I grew up in Berks and moved to Central, Pa. There are SO many interesting places that aren't "big city" related, that I feel like those Googling things to do in PA, don't get to see the little stuff or the stuff tucked away in woods and mountain areas.
I, admittedly, didn't click the link to begin with so I just assumed we were Googling our areas. Fail on my part.
I definitely think it was written by a teenage boy. The scenic drive that's Hawaii's pick is where all the kids go to make out. While it is a nice drive, if you're choosing from the whole state, Honolulu isn't the best place, as much as I love it being my home. If they're going outlandish, like rag bri, why not say the best date in Hawaii is the manta ray dive in Kona or helicopter over Kauai? Or, hell, any secluded beach. Those still exist!
Smorgasburg isn't a bad idea. Haven't been, but it is high on my list of things to do when the weather is nice again.
Smorgasburg isn't that great a time. It's crowded and the atmosphere sucks. I'd rather go to the Frying Pan if we're doing a seasonal foodie date.
Well, I don't know that I'd call Frying Pan *foodie* per se. But that's sad that it sucks. I will reconsider its spot on the to-do list (which is authored in part by two friends who live in Williamsburg, so there's some bias there).
And why the fuck would anyone want to go to Lego Land on a date? If some dude wanted to take me to Lego Land for a date I would be on the phone with some federal group to put him in a database somewhere.
Dock Cafe in Stillwater, followed by a few drinks at the Mad Capper or Brine's or an ice cream cone at the creamery and a walk down by the river FTW.
Best date spot for shitty 14 year olds, maybe.
Or a 17 year old Granted the Mall was new when I was that age. . .do I get a little slack?
Putting a bird on your clothes will not help you blend in with the natives in Portland. If it helps you blend in with anyone, it'd be the tourists and new arrivals. Have these people ever even been to Portland?
