PM issue

Hi! So if I send a PM, it appears as if I am sending it back to myself. For a while, I wasn't sure if the person I was chatting with was actually getting my messages.  But after a couple of experiments, we realized that we were getting the messages. So now that I know that the other person is getting it, why am I getting a copy as well?
