Someone on PCE said that on another board she is on if they are posting spoilers they create the thread and just put the word 'spoilers' in the first post, then reply to it with the actual content. This keeps the spoilers out of the hover & preview window of the app.

You may want to talk to the gods about spoiler tags, I'm not sure if they are possible on proboards.
Basically a grey bar covers the text which contains the spoiler (the poster would apply it like applying bold or strikethrough) and the grey bar disappears revealing the text when clicked. My old forum had it.

Ellie is a god
I like the idea of putting spoilers in the first post. I can imagine that it might be an issue for people using the app and this seems like a pretty easy way to avoid the problem.

Sorry, I meant the people on the proboards team, not the mods. I figured it was a feature which could be requested similar to wanting more emoticons when we first moved over from the nest.
I believe the consensus was to pause before any revealing spoilers because of the preview box. But changing text and doing spoiler boxes was frowned at because people on their phones, using the app can't highlight or reveal properly. And, apparently, A LOT of people are using their phones.
If we're just courteous and mark the title spoilers, I think we'll be fine.

I realized this probably won't work because the preview tag on the regular version and the preview text on the mobile version pick up the first few lines of text regardless of spaces.
I think typing spoiler in the first post is a good idea. I'm sure not everyone will do it, but we can try to use it.
