I feel like my "real" asian friends aren't like that! At least the Japanese moms I know. I have one friend who has a kid that's not three, and she just posted a video of him reading three letter words, moving up to 4, then ending with CAMERA. But she's not super hard on him that I see. I do wonder if it's a stereotype, or legit, since I haven't seen it in action with the local moms here.
