I'm glad you got some answers! This may sound weird, but I'm glad for you that it's not IBD. I'm not saying your symptoms aren't terrible. They certainly are. My gastro also told me it's okay to take Imodium every once in a while. I plan on using it on my wedding day and the days we fly. I hope you're able to feel better soon!
This is awesome news! I know the symptoms suck, but at leat you can rest assured that you don't have the inflammation, ulcers or damage to your bowel. and even better, no awful longterm steroid treatments or chemo needed. You'll get to keep all of your intestines for life!
He also started me on a daily probiotic. I used to just take one if I was on antibiotics. He has one in particular he likes, and says Costco is the cheapest place to get it. I'll post the name when I pick it up
Can you post the probiotic name when you get a chance? I've been taking one that about $50/month. It works, but.... Ouch. A cheaper alternative would be great.
I am so impressed that you run triathlons. How did you start out with your training? I've been really wanting to get into an exercise program but I haven't seriously worked out in years and every time I try I end up feeling awful and giving up.
