My mom's friend offered to throw me a shower, so did my H's aunt. Basically, it will be one shower with my family, some friends from work and high school and then one with H's family.
Is it appropriate for me to extend an invitation to my MIL and SIL to the shower my mom's friend is throwing? I'm concerned that my MIL won't be exactly friendly (I adore my SIL) but at the same time I don't want there to be a big drama out of her not even getting an invitation.
Isn't it proper ettiquette to only invite people to one shower? So your MIL should be invited to the shower with her family and it would rude of you to invite her to two showers. It would look gift grabby.
And if it isn't a rule I'd pretend it was if she complains
