Remember your recent post about not mentioning on MMM about your doctor's clomid protocol? There have been 2 threads recently about how doctors essentially don't know anything and you have to go to the MMM board for the real advice and "do your own research". It's insane. You have definitely made the right choice. :-)
LMAO. I'm going to see what I can find over there, but I have no interest in participating. I swear, some of the "experts" on this board just seem to believe they fucking know it ALL! At the end of the day, I'm going with the woman who went to med school, who does this full time, who knows me and not just "me" from TN, etc. You know?
When it comes to legal advice people are ususally pretty spot on that no one can give you legal advice, consult an attorney, they know best, etc. But when it comes to something medical it's always "my doctor said I should do xyz, what do you guys think I should do?"
Plus, I don't understand that people that seriously don't trust their doctors not finding a new one. Listen, I know that the advice my doctor gave me was contra to everything that is posted on these boards (and others). I asked her about what I had read here, explained my concerns, and then gave her a chance to answer. I trust her, her response seems legit and that's good enough for me. But for so many people it's like they're paying all this money for MEDICAL advice only to come here and second guess every.fucking.thing.
I found a one of the threads you were talking about and almost died at how "uneducated" people that don't post on GBCN are! Jesus. lol.
Some of the best advice my pediatrician gave me was "don't listen to your friends". I got plenty of unsolicited advice that I didn't agree with and when I checked with my pediatrician she always agreed with me. I also don't understand why if people don't trust their care providers why they don't find new ones. The questions are never "my doctor said this, I disagree should I find someone new?", it's always do I take medical advice from my physician or from randoms on a message board. My new spin on the old GBCN/ TN refrain "I feel sorry for your huisbands" is "I feel sorry for your healthcare providers".

LOL
I feel like there are a lot of people who read a lot of things on these boards (or boards like this) and then go to their doctors thinking they have all the answers. I wonder if doctors want to yell at them, because I would.
I said something very similar to this on ML recently and it did not go well, but DAMN. Endless hours on GBCN does not a RE make, you know?
OH MY GOD bronxgirl! I just read the one about sending a FB message re: going down the slide with your kid! Can you fucking imagine getting that PM?!?!
"Hi Lola. Looks like you love your kid and all, but I read on my Moms board that you're really exposing Lola Jr. to a seriously broken leg. I know you wouldn't do anything like this intentionally, but I really want you to be informed so you can make more educated parenting lessons! Please see these five million links, in case my fucking patronizing PM wasn't enough evidence of my sanity! Kisses! Sanctimonious Mommy from MMM!"
LOL. After awhile I used to get a little nervous after posting FB pictures that someone would make an obnoxious comment about something. WTF is wrong with people?
