Any ideas what to do? I'm not sure if the cuplrit is a bug or chipmunks. I have tried a dish soap mixture, vinegar, and chili powder and none of them have worked. The zucchini plants seem to be thriving regardless as even the half eaten blossoms end up fruiting but I am worried that the butternut (which is not trellised) will not be so lucky. Is it worth it to give moth balls a try?
Jenniebeeb turned me on the Liquid Fence. It is the worst smelling substance I have ever encountered, but nothing has been eaten despite the bunny family that lives in our yard. I only apply it when I have time to shower afterwards because I'm worried that the smell will linger on me.

I'll have to check it out! How often do you reapply?
