Sad. My hard drive died.

Well, more accurately, it was murdered. By me. But not on purpose. But unless it can be recovered, I lost a good six months worth of pictures. I don't really care about the rest. Dammit. I'll be mourning the rest of the day.

This makes me want to go print all the pictures I have saved on my computer. I hope they can be recovered somehow though!!!

That is so sad, Kate. Hope they can be restored. I just recently realized Maisy's birth pictures aren't backed up (aside from some on FB) because H lost that camera on a flight. I need to print them out before something happens to the computer they are on.

Kate, if you send me your email, I can send you a program that can probably recover everything for you.
I accidentally reformatted my external hard drive while reformatting my computer and it recovered everything.

Oh no! H has done sort of hard drive recovery that he used when our last hard drive died. Tje computer couldn't be saved but he didn't want to dispose of it with it on there so he bought this thing that could remove it. I have no clue about of any of this, but I'll ask him about it tomorrow. I'm staying positive that you'll get your pics back! Hang in there!

Ugh, it sucks. I have printed some of them, and I have saved some of them out for my blog and whatnot, but there are so many others. Photos are the worst thing to lose, I swear.

I think for all the pics you take it might be worth it to get a cloud, auto syncing system in place. My husband uses Mozy.
