Yes. I think contacts keep things out of your eyes, for lack of a better way to say it. For example, I can sit around a camp fire with my contacts in no problem, but with glasses on I wouldn't last half an hour. It's like the contacts provide a barrier between stuff in the air and my eyes.
My eyes generally feel a little weird when I switch to glasses after wearing contacts for forever, but it usually clears up and feels fine after a few hours.

Yeah, mine get that way sometime. I typically keep my contacts in too long (like 15 hours and past the point where they feel dried out/tired) so they feel that way when I take them out and put on glasses. I wonder if that's the issue you're having, rather than the glasses causing them to feel this way. Maybe by the time you take out your contacts, your eyes are just really dry and tired?

I am the opposite as well. I normally wear my contacts 90% of the time but I have been wearing my glasses most of the time for the last cmonth or so. My eyes are much more sensitive with the contacts now. I'm waiting on a new trial pair of contacts to see if those help.
