I had to stay home with M yesterday because she had a 101.9° fever on Sunday night. She was up half the night (which meant I was up half the night), and she was miserable. Runny nose, sneezing... She'd been sneezing most of Sunday, and I just knew she was getting sick. Luckily it looks like it was just a small bug and she's doing better already.
Oh, and for runny-nosed babies, I HIGHLY recommend Hyland Babies Tiny Cold Tablets. They're ah-mah-zing. Cleared her right up and I could tell she felt much better by mid-day.
Sounds exactly like what my daughter has. She had 101.5 fever last night but seems to be quickly on the mend this morning. Still fussy but nearly as bad as last night. Hope it's gone for good soon. hope M feels better!
Oh, what's the age restrictions on those tablets? The last I went in to check, they said it was highly recommended not for use for kids under 1... and I couldn't find anything that caters to babies and colds.
I think it's 6 or 9 months? We've been giving them to her since she was about a year, though, I think. For now, for Thor, I'd highly recommend the saline spray (I use the Arm and Hammer brand) and just suck that snot out.

The Nosefrida snot sucker has been a life saver for us since Blb has had one cold after another for the past 5 months. Running a cool mist humidifier for all naps and bed time helps keep things loose and flowing too so it doesn't try up over night and get yucky. Also, stick some towels under one side of the mattress to keep baby's head elevated (if they don't wiggle around to a different position at night anyway). This is how I've gotten through all the cold.
These are also great suggestions. There was a marked improvement when we incorporated the humidifier and put her mattress at an incline. Also, Baby Vicks VapoRub was a Godsend.
We have not inclined his mattress, maybe we should try. But we have the humidifier on every night and use Little Remedies' saline drops/spray. He hates it all. And the Nosefrida. OMg. I think I've given him a his first real complex/peeve. Nothing can ever go near his nose now cause he freaks out. Alas, mommy has to suck his snot out to help him breathe.
Is the BabyVicks Vaporub safe for <1 years old? I should just go check myself. ._.
