Reading Slump

Does anyone ever find themselves in a reading slump? I have downloaded 5 books on my Kindle thinking I would read them right away. Here I am a month down the road and still haven't read any of them

I'm not bringing in any income all summer, so I'm trying to save my books so I don't have to buy anymore. I find myself reading magazines instead. Not exactly the same as a slump--I want to read, but I'm resisting. When the time is right, you'll read.

This usually happens to me after I've read a really excellent, or really emotionally heavy book. Fluff helps me move on to the next good read.

I downloaded 5 sample of books to see which one I liked best to buy. Some of the samples gave me like the first 60 pages and others only 20 and only 5 of them was the actual book. I just don't know what to read and I don't want to buy a book and not read it.

Can you find any freebies that sound interesting? A lot of them are crap, but you can find some good ones if you look around and pay attention to reader reviews.
