There's a little square in the town J lives. There are always people standing with pro-life signs. Always. I mentioned it to J and he pointed out that there's a Planned Parenthood there (that I just never noticed). I want so bad to get my own sign and stand out there, but idk, I guess I'd feel weird standing out there by myself (on the pro-choice side).

Oh yes--I'm a child of the 60's/70's. My first protest was in 1972 when I was 12. My junior high school was protesting the Alaska Pipeline. We all went outside and stood around for awhile.
In my line of work, my co-workers and I are always involved in some kind of protest or worker solidarity march.

I picketed outside of my church while I was in college. They were closing the school attached to it. I went there, as did my grandmother, mother, aunts, uncles and cousins. My mom and cousins were teaching there at the time. So many people came up to us and said we should be ashamed for picketing and were going right to hell.
Some friends and i organized a group of students to go to a huge pro choice rally in Washington, D.C. When I was in college...1988 or 89 I think. It was great!

No but there's a small women's clinic on the way to my building and every single Saturday AM there's this same group of 5-ish old pro-life people picketing in wheel chairs and walkers and H suggested we make signs once and I said no because they're a thousand and I really doubt they're very vocal. They just sit there.

Yeah, these people are old, too. I doubt we'd get into a screaming match, lol.
In college mostly. Mainly against apartheid and Gulf War I. Yikes, that gives away my age doesn't it?
Oh, and one year we protested that we didn't have Good Friday off from clases and we were a religious college. That one was mainly because we all wanted a long weekend, not because any of us were planning on actually going to church.

I protested the Rockefeller drug laws in my state capital years ago. I've seen the protesters outside when I've gone to Planned Parenthood. One time it was just this one 60-year-oldish guy by himself, and he started calling me a baby killer and shoved pictures of aborted fetuses in my face as I walked in. I was young and so shocked and caught off guard that I just muttered that I was there for birth control to PREVENT unwanted pregnancy. I wish that had happened to me now. I'd definitely have some choice words for him!
