ugh! brother vent!

my brother called me and asked to borrow money......he says his son is out of diapers. fine. i said i'll order some from amazon and ship...he said "will they get here in time?" i said "2 days"....he said "we have 3 diapers left". WTF. why wait until the absolute last moment to ask me?! you *knew* this was coming! he wants me to drive to his bank (which there's none near me tyvm), and i have to go deposit money, so he can go get diapers NOW. BRU, walmart, safeway...none of those guarantee same day in-store pickup...so apparently this is my only option. i don't mind lending him money (sometimes....he has a bad credit history with me)...but the fact that he waited until this last moment to do this just makes me so mad! now i have to drop everything to get him money before 6pm. ugh!

i wouldn't doubt if he has less than $5 in cash right now. he doesn't have a credit card bc nobody will approve him. and yes, he is definitely getting one up on me.. he said he'll mail me a check, he gets paid in a few days (1st and 15th at his company). the places can't guarantee same day pickup because they may not have it in stock. i called BRU, but they said even if they have it in stock, it depends on backlog, etc, and they can't guarantee it...which i guess..maybe we could risk it?

he asked for $100...which diapers do *not* cost that much..so i know there's definitely more to it. and that's annoying. he *is* broke like a mofo..but he also *deserves* to be broke because he can't manage his money at all. sidjf;aslkjflkasjdfaisdjf frustrating.

he texted me about something completely random at 6---i replied asking if he got the diapers..and he said "yes, and formula. thank you". and he sent me a picture of his son playing with diapers....

so.....i hope he utilized it correctly. when i told h my brother called and asked for money for diapers, he said "isn't that a cliche thing to ask for?"....

Honestly, I don't get people. If I ever was in a position where I had to ask for help like this I would be extremely embarrassed and humble and profusely grateful.
