I watched it. I'll catch the second episode but I had a really hard time telling a lot of the people apart during the first episode. Also, I realize that a huge draw for reality tv is all the backstage/relationship drama (and I buy into it, of course, since I am a total whore for any reality show) but I was hoping for more actual dancing. I'm also sad there isn't any more diversity. No gay men? No one of color? Boo.

Good point, lyss. I thought they were trying to prove male dancers can be straight, so they overreached in that direction, but the lack of color... then again, it is SLC.
I hope they get more dancing as the series continues.

I'm most excited to see Beckanne dance. I'm certainly not someone who is really knowledgable about ballet (unless you count an embarassingly high number of viewings of Center State - hah!) but I was mesmerized with the little dancing I did see from her.

Honestly, as soon as I knew they were in SLC I dismissed any expectation to see someone of color. If one pops up, GREAT but most of the population is white...
I like Beckanne as well. I really liked the scene where she and Katie(??) were talking about how nice she is but the other girls aren't friendly to her. She really does seem like a sweet girl! But when girls are intimidated by you that doesn't matter.
