We landed today at 1pm and decided to take advantage of Magic Kingdom for a few hours since we have enough passes on our park hopper to waste a day getting the lay of the land.
It was so crowded and not much fun. Every ride had 70 - 120 minute wait and every fast pass was hours out. I think my 12 yo dd still enjoyed herself and was quite the trooper but we didn't get to do much due to the crowds.
Tomorrow I am picking up my grandma and we have her until Sunday to share our room andvpark hoppers for all of us. I am already tired and not sure how to make this fun for everyone.
Any tips or help is much appreciated. I am not sure I am the Disney lover I thought I would be.
The problem is that it's spring break - one of the busiest times for Disney parks. I can only suggest to grab as many fast passes as you can and have a lot of patience. It's gonna be super crowded :/
Yeah, it all depends on the time of year. I went to Disneyland on St. Patrick's Day weekend last year and the longest wait we ever had was 20 minutes mid-afternoon. I'm sorry it's so crowded
If you can, go as early as possible. The lines might be lighter earlier in the day.
Yeah, you need to accept the lines are going to be hideous. Get started early in the morning, hit the lines and get the fast passes you want. Also, there are free phone aps that you can download that give you the wait times at the various rides in the different parks which might be of some help.
Perhaps just walk around at this point. Enjoy a parade and fireworks and then hit the ground running tomorrow. Also, you can go to downtown disney for shops and restaurants. Where are you staying?
