You guys I feel so bad for my poor mil. My fil tried to reroute them around a city because of rush hour traffics has gotten them like 3 hours off course. H has been on and off the phone with home giving directions. They will be here in like 30 min or so now unless fil tries to do it again. So guess what he is getting for a gift next gift giving occasion? Yep a GPS from us. Seriously guys it is only a 13 hr trip he has made it in 20 hours. And counting.

OMG I am so jealous of you! lol.

My ILs live about a 15 hour drive away. We've done it in as little as 14 and as many as 17 depending on traffic. We usually make the trip at least once per year, but in 2012 we did it THREE TIMES. It was a LOT of driving.

Things that have been mentioned/said

1. Apparently H's dad and grandpa are gonna come down in the next few months for grandpa's dentures (they are made at a place an hr from us). So we should trade cars meaning is give them my brand new car because my car gets better gas mileage and will be easier for grandpa to get in and out of rather than the truck. Yeahhh not happening

2. H's dad saw a fun he liked at the exchange here (store on base). But being as he doesn't have military Id he can't buy it. So I should buy it for him and give it to him. Don't worry they will pay us back eventually. Yeahhh no.

Guys it hasn't even been 24 hrs. We also spent 2 hrs at the exchange( it isn't that big). I am about to break te wine.

Dang! 3x! I would die! Your back must hurt from being in the car that long.

My dad used to have a house about 13 hours away. He liked to do the drive overnight. I did it once with him instead of going in the day with my mom. There was a thunderstorm halfway through and I thought we were going to die.

Yeah, my dad still does the drive a couple times a year. He doesn't have the house anymore so he usually goes by himself to visit friends. I couldn't imagine driving that far by myself! But he refuses to fly, and he wants to have a car while he's there.

What did they do for 2 hrs at the BX??? Ours is small and even when I'm wasting time and wandering, I can get through it in 15 min! lol Aside from the prices, its no different than Target/Walmart/etc.

Drink all the wine you need to make it through this week!

Gumby I know!!! H's dad talks to everyone about everything. Seriously everyone. Clearly on my second thing it is suppose to be gun not fun. I am almost all the way through a bottle of wine whee! Also h and I already talked about the car before he even came down. No one bedsides us is even allowed to drive it unless in an emergency.
